1. Mardi Gras Silent Disco—Feb 3

• What: Prepare for a night of dancing at the Mardi Gras-themed Silent Disco in the Mountain Brook Ballroom, where you can wear your favorite beads and mask, enjoy a refreshing welcome drink and groove to your favorite tunes while three DJs compete for the largest dance crowd.

2. Birmingham Mardi Gras—Feb 6

• What: Get ready for Commissioner Sheila Tyson’s Annual Mardi Gras Celebration! Experience a fantastic free event showcasing the talents of Big Freedia, the Queen of Bounce.

3. Mystic Knights of Poulet Mardi Gras Chicken Parade—Feb 10

• What: The 5th Annual Mardi Gras Chicken Parade is right around the corner. Entering a float or walking group is free.
• When: Saturday, February 10 | 6:30PM
• Where: Parade starts at 4400 Block of 2nd Ave. S, Avondale & ends at Mom’s Basement

4. Mardi Gras on the Mountain—Feb 10

• What: Get ready to throw some beads, hit the dance floor and celebrate a wonderful cause on Saturday, February 10 during Mardi Gras on the Mountain. The ball raises money and supports Easterseales of Birmingham.

5. Run Chicken Run Almost 5k—Feb 10

• What: Join the Mystic Knights of Poulet and Mom’s Basement for the Run Chicken Run Almost 5k. Race down the Rotary Trail from Good People Brewing Company to Cahaba Brewing Co., making stops at Good People Brewing Company, Ghost Train Brewing Co., Avondale Brewing Company and Cahaba Brewing Co. Racers will receive drink tickets for required brewery stops and exchange them for special race day beverages at each location.
