The Rougaroux—a beloved Cajun-themed restaurant in Forest Park—has officially opened its second location in Mountain Brook! Read on to learn more about the new restaurant + what to expect.

The Rougaroux now open in Mountain Brook

Founded in 2017, The Rougaroux is a Cajun-themed restaurant in Forest Park. Located inside the “Pink House”—an 1880s-era home at 817 39th Street South—The Rougaroux has become known for its New Orleans-style decor and authentic Cajun fare, including:

Traditional po’boys, including fried gulf shrimp, fried bon secour oysters, fried Alabama catfish and fried eggplant
Specialty po’boys, including Oysters Rockefeller and Surf & Turf
“Nola Favorites” like gumbo and housemade boudin links

Today, The Rougaroux announced on Facebook that officially opened their second location in Mountain Brook. Located in the former Sneaky Pete’s space at 2716 Culver Road, the new location will give Mountain Brook residents an opportunity to try the food and experience that fans of The Rougaroux know and love.

“The new location is something we’ve been working on for a while, and we’re super excited to be open in Mountain Brook. I’ve worked in that area before, and the community does a great job of supporting local restaurants. We’re excited to be recreating the experience that fans have loved in our Forest Park location, and we’ll be offering several fan favorites menu items—as well as a few new items.”

Just like the Forest Park location, the new Rougaroux in Mountain Brook will offer an outdoor dining patio. The patio will open at 1PM, Monday through Friday, as per Mountain Brook City Council regulations.

P.S. Don’t worry—the original Rougaroux in Forest Park will stay open!
