2. Two featured performers from RuPaul’s Drag Race will be there
Ongina (pictured left, above) was born in the Phillippines, is an HIV activist and was the inspiration for RuPaul’s single, “LadyBoy.”
The second Drag Race queen to hail from San Francisco, Rock M. Sakura (pictured right, above) is known for “splitting like there’s no tomorrow.”
Christmas is a Drag is certain to ring in the cheer with breathtaking interpretations of your favorite holiday hits.
3. You’ll be welcomed by a fabulous host + Alabama-based entertainers
Mobile-based Jawakatema Davenport is hosting the event, while Alabama-based entertainers Kharris (Miss Central Alabama Pride), Martyna D. Elegants, Ara Besque Starr, and Genesis join the spectacular.
4. Support Holiday Wish + make a child’s holiday wishes come true
You can make a child’s holiday wish come true this year by getting tickets for Christmas is a Drag and/or donating to the 2023 Holiday Wish Program.
This generous program provides gifts to the children in AIDS Alabama’s housing programs—gifts that they would not typically receive due to household income levels.
Most wish lists total between $200-$250 and donations are often combined to purchase items from the child’s wish list.

5. This is the 7th year of Christmas is a Drag
Back in 2019, we wrote:
“Jeff Nixon started this drag show as a benefit for AIDS Alabama.
He’d already been supporting Holiday Wish, the nonprofit’s effort to bring Christmas gifts to young people living in their housing programs, for several years.
According to Jeff, Saturn has been an amazing partner, donating their space for the event each year. The first year, it was an experiment, and it’s sold out every year with crowds of about 400.
This event is for an over-18 crowd who’s not too worried about Santa’s ‘naughty or nice’ list.”
