Looking for a new go-to local spot in The Magic City for Indian food? Some of the Bham Now team checked out Bay Leaf Modern Indian Cuisine & Bar, and I can confirm the food tastes just as good as it looks. When cold weather hits, nothing warms our heart and tummies like warm, fresh naan from the oven, rich curry rice dishes and a mango lassi on the side.

2. Bay Leaf’s delicious menu

Bay Leaf Modern Cuisine & Bar offers an exciting menu, blending traditional Indian flavors with modern twists. From classic Indian favorites such as hakka noodles and biryanis to unique additions such as masala quesadillas and golagappa shots, there is flavor in every bite.

The fresh, high-quality ingredients and range of dishes from corners all over the Indian subcontinent allow for a menu with culinary creations everyone will love. My personal favorite was the karari bhindi, thin-cut okra coated with gram chickpea flour.

“Our food is Indian meets modern cuisine, and its presentation is an experience in itself. Since we’re in the South, we also feature dishes with a southern twist, like our fried okra dish, karari bindi.”
