Birmingham Zoo has more than 500 animals showcased during the day, but once the sun sets, get ready for a unique adventure with one-of-a-kind light-up lantern creations.
As you adventure through the pathways, you’ll find yourself surrounded by towering giraffes, playful pandas and more. From sea creatures to plants, there’s a lantern for everyone.

Light Up Your Holidays in Birmingham

While you’re enjoying the evening, the elephants, zebras and other zoo animals will be safely tucked away for the night.

To make the night more delightful, grab a cup of warm hot chocolate and watch as acrobats and jugglers flip through the night sky.

After checking out the cool new lanterns and acrobats, hop on the Red Diamond Express Train—it’s decked out for the holidays.
