One of my favorite parts of the holiday season is checking off presents for the special people on my list. At Market Noel, you can knock out so much of your shopping in one place and find awesome deals, all while supporting the Junior League’s work to improve the community by building partnerships for a better Birmingham.

First things first—here’s what you need to know:

This week’s Market Noel is bigger + more inclusive than ever

This year’s event is geared up to be the most spectacular yet with an incredible lineup of vendors, artisans and local businesses. Plus, there will be some especially exciting new additions, including sensory-friendly hours and zones as well as a dedicated shopping time for seniors.

Golden Hours

What: A dedicated shopping time for senior citizens to enjoy a relaxed shopping experience
When: Thursday, November 16 | 1—3PM + Friday, November 17 | 11AM–1PM

Sensory Hours

What: A time to shop in a space where everyone can thrive with sensory bags, a dedicated sensory area, adjusted lighting and lower volume music.
When: Friday, November 17 | 9–11AM

PLUS—Proceeds from this event directly support JLB’s integral work in the Birmingham community through multiple avenues including the JLB Scholarship Fund, community assistance grants and the JLB’s 28 community projects. Last year, the JLB provided more than $400,000 in direct contributions to the local community, and JLB’s nearly 2,000 members volunteered 40,000 hours in service, equating to an investment worth $1.6 million for the Greater Birmingham area.

Special holiday events for the kids + adults

In addition to an awesome shopping experience, Market Noel will feature multiple fun events to ring in the season, including exclusive opportunities to visit with Santa before the rush of the holidays.

Preview Noel

What: An evening of private shopping and fun activities to welcome the gifting season
When: Wednesday, November 15 | 7-10PM
Tickets: $55

Holiday Heroes Lunch

What: A drive-through, free to-go lunch for first responders outside The Finley Center.
When: Thursday, November 16 | 11AM-1PM
ID is required for proof of employment to receive a lunch

JLB Hearts BHAM

What: A night that’s all about Birmingham and school pride, emceed by Miss Alabama, with performances from local area groups, a lounge area for teachers and more.
When: Thursday, November 16 | 5-8:30PM
Tickets: Included in Thursday general admission ticket

Sundaes with Santa

What: Get a picture and visit with the big guy himself as well as a sweet treat for the kids. (All Santa events will include a bounce house and kids crafts.)

Brunch with the Big Guy

What: Breakfast bites and beverages from Ashley Mac’s Kitchen, a picture with Santa, a story, bounce house and fun craft for the kids

Milk and Cookies with Santa

What: Can’t make brunch? You can still get a picture with Santa as well as a sweet treat, bounce house and craft for the kids.
When: Saturday, November 18 | 12-2PM

Proceeds from Market Noel support all of the Junior League’s mission-based work, including scholarships, leadership development, member training, and support for the community. The support includes funding for 28 community projects, including the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama, Foundry Ministries Hope Inspired Ministries and YWCA Healthy Relationships.
