If felines and fitness are your thing, you need to make a trip to The Lotus Catfe. Located in Alabaster, this unique spotspot features adoptable cats, a cafe and yoga studio all in one great place.

Reopened at new location in Alabaster

Owned by mother-daughter duo Nicole Jacobson and Skye Vaillancourt, The Lotus Catfe opened in April 2023. After a few months in business, the two decided to move to a new spot in Alabaster’s Willow Plaza next to Shaggy Chic Grooming.

The café reopened November 11 and are now happily welcoming guests inside to visit the cat lounge and take part in beginner-friendly yoga classes.

What to expect at The Lotus Catfe

Nicole and Skye are currently working on opening their own rescue, but in the meantime work with the Shelby County Humane Society to help find the cats a good home. Every cat is spayed or neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. View the cafe’s furry friends on their website.

Want to check it out for yourself? Here’s a peek at what you can expect at The Lotus Catfe:

  • Cat lounge featuring adoptable cats, coffee and tea ($10 per hour)
  • Beginner-friendly yoga classes with a variety of tools like yoga wheels, straps, bolsters, blocks + more ($10 per class)
  • Retail shop featuring books, t-shirts, crystals, tarot cards + more

The Lotus Catfe also offers special events, like Kitty Kat Story Time every Thursday at 11AM, where kids can spend the hour petting cats and listening to fun stories and books.

Connect with the Catfe on Instagram and Facebook to stay up-to-date on events, classes, adoption opportunities and more.
