As the holiday season rolls in, Trussville is showing off its festive side. Read on for three seasonal events you won’t want to miss—including the city’s tastiest annual Cookie Walk event.

1. Community Caroling + Tree Lighting | Sunday, November 26

There’s no better way to kick off the Christmas season than this Community Caroling + Tree Lighting hosted by the Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with presenting sponsor First Baptist Church Trussville. M3 Performance and Physical Therapy is a silver sponsor for the parade.

Additional sponsors include Foundations for Hope, Trinity Contractors, Bryant Bank, AmFirst, Trussville Gas and Water, Hitchcock Maddox Financial Partners and the Trussville Tribune.

Back for its 5th year, this delightful event shows the true meaning of community as businesses, churches and locals come together in the holiday spirit for fun, family and good times.

On Sunday, November 26 from 4:30-6PM, grab the family for a magical time filled with free activities, including:

  • Musical performances by Trussville City Schools elementary school choirs, the Hewitt-Trussville High School Jazz Band, and more
  • Booths offering coffee, hot chocolate + cookies
  • Exciting giveaways + tons of kids’ activities
  • Lots of photo ops
  • Visits with Santa
  • And more!

As the evening draws to a close, gather round for the jingle of 1,000 bells as Trussville’s Mayor Choat gives the signal to light the city’s 50-foot Christmas tree. Trust me when I say it’s quite a tree!

“When we say this is a community event, we mean it. This is one of the best examples of an old-fashioned, “Hallmark” event, and there’s no better way to kick off the holidays. It’s a favorite with the Trussville Chamber staff, and we love putting it together.”
