Hell Week was the perfect challenge for Allen

Orangetheory has different challenges all throughout the year and Hell Week is the most anticipated one. The eight-day challenge consists of high-intensity, yet doable workouts to encourage members to prove to themselves what their bodies are capable of.

Allen’s favorite part about Orangetheory is the challenge it brings, so participating in Hell Week this year was a pretty obvious choice.

“I signed up for Hell Week to break through my fitness plateau. When you’re moving along and trying to get better, Hell Week seems like the best way to just take the next step.”

Allen’s daughter, Molly, works out at Orangetheory as well, so working out there is even more special to him.. He started working out three times a week and has moved up to five times a week now.

“I really needed the synergy and the energy of a classroom environment. You can always work out by yourself, go through the motions, go for a run or lift weights, but the OTF coaches work alongside you personally and make sure you have what you need to get the most out of a workout.”

Allen loves being able to keep up with how he’s doing and track his personal records as he works out.

“You know benchmark-wise where you are at the end of every workout. We have personal challenges that are timely and encourage us to always push ourselves to do better and feel good about what we’re doing.”
