Events Scheduled
The 82nd McDonald’s Magic City Classic, brought to you by Coca-Cola, starts with a press conference and ends with an epic face-off between Alabama A&M and Alabama State on Saturday, October 28th at Legion Field.
The Magic City Classic is one of HBCU’s largest football games in the country played annually at Legion Field in Birmingham. This is not just a game; the winner could potentially earn a spot in the SWAC Championship. The events that come with the Magic City Classic are just as fun as the game:
Press conference
- When: Wednesday, October 25th at 11AM
- Location: 4600 East Lake Blvd. Birmingham, AL 35217
Mcdonald’s Magic City Classic Parade
- When: Saturday, October 28th at 8AM- 11AM, rain or shine
- Route: https://www.magiccityclassic.com/route/
- Free admission
- The parade also will be broadcast on Fox 6 in Birmingham, as well as on Gray affiliates in Huntsville and Montgomery.
PLUS—Don’t miss the battle of the bands and dance teams from both ASU and AA&M.
Coors Light Tailgate Party
- When: Saturday, October 28th at 10AM- 2PM
- Location: west side of Legion Field
- Visit the party for entertainment, giveaways, and much more
- Free admission
Mcdonald’s Magic City Classic
- When: Saturday, October 28th at 2:30PM
- Location: Legion Field

This 82nd battle between the Alabama State Hornets and the Alabama A&M Bulldogs is a show no one wants to miss. From the football to the incredible marching bands, it is sure to be a blast.
