New electric vehicle charging station now open in Avondale

A new electric vehicle charging station is now open for use in the Avondale Village parking lot. Keep reading to find out more about Birmingham’s newest EV charging station.
Avondale’s new EV charging station
Today, members of the Birmingham Parking Authority, in partnership with the Alabama Clean Fuels Coalition, held a ribbon cutting ceremony for a new electric vehicle charging station at Avondale Village Parking lot.
With a grant from the Alabama Clean Fuels coalition and help from Alabama Partners for Clean Air, construction on the new EV charging station began in Avondale’s business district. Now, it’s ready for use at 109 41st St. South.

The location for the new EV charging station at 109 41st St. South was chosen for the local shops, restaurants, and parks in the surrounding area.
