To learn more, we joined TJ Lewis from Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED’s Classic Foods Division on his sales route where he told us all about the process, what brought him to Coca-Cola UNITED and why others should consider joining the team.

Who’s restocking your favorite vending machine items?

So, how does it work? Every time you type in a code for the treat you want, the systems over at Coca-Cola UNITED’s offices are tracking which items are being taken out. There are no vending machines running low on their watch.

Through the Classic Foods sales route, you get to meet all kinds of people

TJ starts his day at the office to gather his route information, and then he’s off to different organizations across the Greater Birmingham Area. His routes take him to places ranging from high schools and colleges, to local businesses.

As fun as it is traveling around Birmingham and seeing different companies, TJ kept going back to one thought: it’s all about the people.

“My favorite part of the job is interacting with different people.

Some of my stops are at high schools, and it’s so much fun seeing the kids get excited about their favorite snack being restocked.”

Coca-Cola UNITED is a people business

Managers Barry Breau and Corey Pounders have plenty of knowledge about the culture at this company.

Since Barry has been on the team for 13 years and Corey for 25, they echoed TJ’s thoughts, saying that Coca-Cola UNITED is a great place to work because of the people.

TJ has been a Sales Representative for Coca-Cola UNITED’s Classic Foods Division for four months, but he has quickly adjusted to the welcoming atmosphere.
