While it might feel like September just started, October is just around the corner– and one local cocktail bar is gearing up to celebrate spooky season all month long. This October, Pilcrow Cocktail Cellar is partnering up with Numbskull Halloween for a menu full of unique, Halloween-inspired cocktails.

Numbskull Halloween invasion

Numbskull Halloween, the brainchild of St. Louis mixologists Tim Wiggins and Kyle Mathis, is a pop-up bar that serves a unique curation of spooky cocktails all October. What began as a small pop-up five years ago has now spread across the South and Midwest, with participating locations in Nashville, Birmingham and St. Louis.

Starting October 2, they’ll be invading Pilcrow Cocktail Cellar located on 1st Ave N in the alley between Cayo Coco and La Fête. Here’s what they’ll be bringing:

  • 6 craft cocktails
  • 2 shots
  • Limited edition glassware
  • Limited edition t-shirts

What’s on Pilcrow’s Numbskull Halloween menu?

This year, Numbskull’s cocktail menu is inspired by popular Halloween characters. For example, The Inside Out Man is a creepy twist on a Manhattan featuring bourbon, sun-dried tomato sherry, vermouth, fig leaf and electrolytes.

Here’s a peek at some of the other drinks that will be available:

  • Pennywise Punch: Fordbidden Rice Gin, Haitian Rum, salted banana, coconut cream, lemon
  • Death by Pumpkin: Vodka, coffee liqeuer, Amaro, maple pumpkin puree, half and half, green cardamom, nutmeg
  • Human Canvas: Mezcal, squid ink, Lillet Blanc, aloe vera, Falernum, ghost chile bitters, lime, tattoo

Tattoo, squid ink, and aloe vera in a drink? If that doesn’t pique your interest, it might just scare you off.

Alongside the six cocktails, there will be two shots available: Trick and Treat. Pick Trick for a shot of bourbon, allspice and cranberry or Treat for vodka, aloe vera and lime acid—the choice is yours.
