We don’t have many direct flights out of the Birmingham Shuttlesworth International Airport, so we asked YOU on Facebook what places you want more flights to:

#1 Most-Commented: New Orleans
As a Louisiana native, I can totally get behind this. New Orleans was the top-commented place for SURE.
Many comments were discussing how there used to be daily Southwest direct flights to Nola, and they are very missed.
One of our followers even said he used to be able to get an afternoon flight around 1:30 pm on a Friday and could be on Bourbon St. by 5 pm. Sounds like a great plan to me!
What are your favorite things to do in Nola? Mine has got to be grabbing brunch somewhere Uptown, there are some of the best brunch spots over there.
