What’s open + closed on Labor Day in Birmingham—2023
Labor Day is next Monday, September 4. Since it’s a federal holiday, some businesses will be closed—but don’t fret! We’re here to help you navigate what’s open and closed around Birmingham.
This is why we celebrate
Even though most of us associate Labor Day with three-day weekends and sales, Labor Day is a way to remember those who fought for the rights of workers in the late 19th century labor movement. Because of their work, we get days off to celebrate.
