BREAKING: Eight local non-profits awarded $35,000 from Birmingham Kiwanis Foundation

Great news Birmingham! After a brief pause to fund the Centennial Project at Vulcan Park and Museum, the Birmingham Kiwanis Foundation announced the relaunch of the grant program. To kick things off the Birmingham Kiwanis Foundation is distributing $35,000 in grant funding to eight local organizations. Keep reading to find out which non-profits were selected.

Our Birmingham Kiwanis Foundation continues to make a meaningful, long-lasting impact benefitting children in our community. The eight outstanding non-profit organizations receiving grants from the Birmingham Kiwanis Foundation share the great work that the Foundation is supporting to continue the club’s legacy of serving our community’s children.”

Organizations receiving grants are:

• The Bell Center
• Build UP Birmingham
• Family Promise of Birmingham
• Hand In Paw
• Magic City Acceptance Academy
• Jones Valley Teaching Farm
• Oasis Counseling
• PreSchool Partners

According to the Birmingham Kiwanis Foundation, the group focuses primarily on serving children in the Greater Birmingham Community aiming to develop and support the civic growth and health of Birmingham with a special emphasis on improving the lives of children and ensuring the well-being of our community for future generations.

The Kiwanis Club of Birmingham has more than 530 business and non-profit leaders as members. Founded in 1917, the club focuses primarily on supporting children in the Greater Birmingham community through service. Each year, Kiwanians devote hundreds of hours to the city’s youth and invests more than a million dollars into the city. Recently the club honored high school seniors from the Greater Birmingham area with 2023 Youth of the Year scholarships.
