Big news, pizza fans! According to a release, New Orleans-based pizza chain Fat Boy’s Pizza is considering the Birmingham area for its next location. Read on for the delicious details.

What we know

Fat Boy’s Pizza got its start in 2019 when Gabe Corchiani decided to create massive pizza pies in New Orleans. After this first location opened, it quickly expanded to places like Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Richmond, Texas and Los Angeles, California. Now, the Greater Birmingham Area is on the list. We reached out to Fat Boy’s Pizza who confirmed the exciting news.

Standout pizza

There’s no shortage of places to grab a slice around Birmingham, so what would Fat Boy’s Pizza bring to our local foodie scene? The enormous pizzas measuring 30″ across!

Don’t worry, that size is their large option. They also offer pizza by the slice (10″) and a 16″ pie.

What about the flavors? Though I haven’t had the privilege of experiencing Fat Boy’s Pizza, the menu and photos were enough to get my cravings going.

Some pizza options that caught my attention were:

BBQ Chicken: sliced chicken breast, red onion, Sweet Baby Ray’s bbq sauce + shredded mozzarella
The Trinity: garlic oil, shredded mozzarella, ricotta and grated oil

Seeking lighter fare? Try The Skinny Boy with fresh gulf shrimp, baby spinach, Roma tomatoes, artichoke hearts, garlic oil and shredded mozzarella.
