The Birmingham Stallions took care of business, winning Saturday night their 2nd consecutive USFL title with a 28-12 victory over the Pittsburgh Maulers in Canton, Ohio.

TDs v. FGs

The big difference in the game? The Stallions scored touchdowns while the Maulers could only manage field goals.

Stallions WR Deon Cain was named the USFL championship game MVP after hauling in three touchdowns from QB Alex McGough who ended the night with 4 TDs.

The stingy “bend not break” Stallions defense kept the Maulers out of the end zone all night long. In the waning minutes of the 4th quarter, the Stallions defense stopped the Maulers on downs and forced a turnover by way of a quarterback sack and fumble.

Let’s celebrate!

The Stallions ended the season with a 10-2 record. Over the past two years, the team is a dominant 21-3

After the game, Mayor Randall Woodfin announced the city is throwing a victory parade honoring our back to back champions.
