Birmingham’s HighFive Healthcare secures $100 million investment

HighFive Healthcare—a specialty dental partnership organization located in Homewood—announced yesterday that they have closed a $100 million growth investment. The investment will enable HighFive to continue its growth in the southeast and beyond.

Located in Homewood near Brookwood Baptist, HighFive Healthcare is an elite group of oral surgeons and endodontists that collaborate to ensure each patient has an exceptional experience. The company was founded in 2018 and is majority doctor owned.

In 2022, HighFive experienced a spurt of rapid growth—doubling its practice size through acquisition of partnering practices and organic growth. In fact, HighFive’s annual revenue increased by 150% from 2021 to 2022. With this momentum carrying on through 2023, the strategic investment will enable HighFive to continue its growth.

A $100M investment

According to a release from PR Newswire, the $100M growth investment was led by Norwest, a leading venture capital and growth equity investment firm. As part of the investment, Norwest General Partner Dr. Ryan A. Harris and dental services industry veteran David Willens will join HighFive’s board of directors.

Several others joined the investment round, including HighFive doctors and management, Krowten Capital, LLC and Jemison Investment Co., Inc.
