Kiwanis Club of Birmingham to induct six new leaders into Birmingham Business Hall of Fame

Today, the Kiwanis Club of Birmingham announced the six community leaders who will be inducted into the Birmingham Business Hall of Fame during this year’s ceremony. Read on to learn more about these inductees and the Birmingham Business Hall of Fame.

Meet the 2023 Inductees

The six community leaders chosen as 2023 Inductees for the Birmingham Business Hall of Fame are:

  • Dr. Will Ferniany, UAB Health System
  • Col. James W. Sloss, Sloss Furnace
  • A. Page Sloss, Sr., Sloss Real Estate
  • Pete Sloss, Sloss Real Estate
  • Carrie Tuggle, The Tuggle Institute
  • Odessa Woolfolk, Birmingham Civil Rights Institute

About the Birmingham Business Hall of Fame

Since 1997, the 540+ members of the Kiwanis Club of Birmingham have selected business leaders that have, “exemplified strong leadership and made extraordinary contributions to the Greater Birmingham area” for induction into the Birmingham Business Hall of Fame. Inductees can be living or deceased, and to date the Club has inducted 147 business leaders from Birmingham into this prestigious Hall of Fame.

The six honorees will be inducted during the 25th Birmingham Business Hall of Fame event, held at the Harbert Center on Thursday, August 24 from 6PM to 8:30PM.
