Ready. Set. Pride! June marks the month-long celebration of Pride Month and we’ve gathered some of the best events happening around The Magic City. Read on for exciting parades, bougie cocktail parties, fun foodie events and more.

1. 2023 Pride Kick-off & Awards Reception

  • What: Kick off Pride month by celebrating Central Alabama Pride’s 45th anniversary. There will be food, drinks + fun. More info.

2. Central Alabama Pride Reunion

  • What: Get ready for a reunion like no other during this special event. This year’s Central Alabama Pride reunion titleholders from across the state come together for an amazing show to remind you just why they won their prestigious titles. More info.

3. Community Closet Block Party

  • What: AIDS Alabama and Central Alabama Pride join together for a Community Closet Block Party this June. The event allows the community to browse and take home donated clothing items. There will also be popcorn, drinks + music. More info.

4. Pride Picnic

  • What: Join Covenant Community Church to celebrate 42 years of loving the Birmingham community. This rain-or-shine picnic features food, music and entertainment. More info.

6. Funky Food Truck Festival benefiting AIDS Alabama

7. Bham Big Gay History Bus

13. That’s So Gay: Using Southern LGBTQ History to Fight for Our Rights

  • What: Join Discourse BHAM for another special pop-up lecture series at Monday Night Brewing. This event will uncover Southern LGBTQIA+ events, places and people you may not know about and discuss why it’s important that we save, and share, these histories. More info.

14. Workshop 2: Homo-Coming Collective Zine Making Event

15. The Kids Are Alright
