Easter is quickly approaching and will be here before you know it. If you’re still searching for an Easter sunrise service to attend, Birmingham has plenty. Keep reading to find 12 churches to visit on Sunday, April 9.

1. Covenant Presbyterian Church

Covenant Presbyterian Church is meeting at 6:15AM this Easter Sunday for a sunrise service at Vulcan Park. Join the church for a beautiful view and time in fellowship.

2. Asbury United Methodist Church

Asbury United Methodist Church will offer multiple traditional and modern worship options for Easter this year, including a 6:30AM sunrise service.

3. Brookwood Baptist Church, Saint Stephan’s Episcopal Church, True Vine Ministries + Mountain Brook Baptist Church

Local Mountain Brook churches are teaming up to host a beautiful morning of worship at Mountain Brook Highschool’s football field.

4. Redeemer Community Church

Redeemer Community Church will be meeting at Avondale Park this Easter Sunday. The church is conveniently located a block from Avondale Park, so there will be plenty of parking. Make sure to watch the weather in case the location changes due to rain.

5. Briarwood Presbyterian Church

Briarwood Presbyterian Church, also the home of Briarwood Christian School since 1965, will have a 6:30AM sunrise service option this year for Easter.

6. Cathedral Church of the Advent

The Advent is ending Holy Week with a morning service at their church in Downtown Birmingham. Meet new, friendly faces and hear from Rev. Dean Craig Smalley.

7. Trinity United Methodist Church

Trinity United Methodist Church will have two options for sunrise services this year: one at Homewood Central Park led by Element Student Ministry and another led at their West Homewood Campus—both at 6:30AM.

8. Metropolitan Church

Join Metropolitan Church outside at the Pavilion for an Easter sunrise service. The Pavilion is covered and has a fire to keep guests warm and dry in the event of rain.

9. Meadow Brook Baptist Church

Located off Highway 280 in Inverness, Meadow Brook Baptist is hosting an Easter sunrise service that is open to everyone.

10. Bluff Park Community Church

Bluff Park Community Church is moving its usual Sunday service outside to the Hare Farm off of Sanders Road. This gorgeous farm is the perfect place to meet new people and spend time in community.

11. Canterbury United Methodist Church

At Canterbury United Methodist Church, you can enjoy a beautiful sunrise service at their Outdoor Hillside Amphitheater.

12. Star Church Citywide Easter Celebration

Pastor Thomas Beavers and The Star Church are hosting a citywide Easter celebration and community fair on Sunday, April 9 at The Birmingham Crossplex. The entire family is welcome to attend and participate in fellowship, food and fun.
