There’s no need to spend hours planning—we have already found the best places to stay, dine and take stunning pictures in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. Read on to learn how Brett/Robinson can make your spring break the best one yet.

1. Bahama Bob’s

Gulf Shores
The best way to end your day is with a beach view of a sunset. (Brett/Robinson)

If you live in the South, you probably love pecans (I could probably eat a whole pecan pie). Bahama Bob’s pecan-crusted, golden-fried flounder filet is a taste of the south in Gulf Shores. Plus, there’s a kid’s menu jam-packed with kiddie favorites like chicken fingers, grilled cheese and fish sticks.

This tasty spot is only steps away from the water, so you can see the sparkling blue water while you’re munching. You bet I’ll be sipping on a frozen strawberry colada while taking in the stunning view.

Even better, this yummy spot is right next door to Phoenix All Suites West. Brett/Robinson makes your vacation easy with rentals in the best locations.

2. Cobalt

Cobalt
Gulf shrimp and grits? Yes, please! (Cobalt / Facebook)

One of my favorite dishes hands down is shrimp and grits and Cobalt has some of the best you can find. With skewered, chargrilled Gulf shrimp, roasted red pepper and fontina cheese grits and Cajun cream sauce, you’ll be saying YUM. Also, there’s an array of tasty dishes for the kids like pasta alfredo and cheeseburgers.

With an expansive patio overlooking the water and boat slips, this restaurant has a picture-perfect vista. No matter where you sit and dine, you’ll have spectacular views of the bay.

3. Cosmo’s Restaurant & Bar

Cosmo's
Is there anything better than crab cakes? (Cosmo’s / Facebook)

Calamari, sesame-seared tuna, crab cakes, oh my! There are so many delicious options at Cosmo’s, including gluten-free and kid-friendly bites.

Located right near the bay, you can head on over to the gorgeous water after you dine—talk about relaxing.

4. De Soto’s Seafood Kitchen

Can I order everything off the menu? (De Soto’s Seafood Kitchen / Facebook) | A picture-perfect view. (Brett/Robinson)

It’s impossible to go to the beach in the South without chowing down on some hush puppies. Load up on other Southern favorites while you’re at De Soto’s, including blackened catfish, shrimp creole and crawfish etoile. Not a seafood lover? Don’t worry, you can munch on scrumptious Jamaica-jerk chicken and a Hawaiian rib-eye.

After dinner, you can stroll on Gulf Shores Public Beach to see a stunning sunset over the beautiful water. We bet your new favorite family picture will be taken here.

5. Fish River Grill

Load up on shrimp. (Fish River Grill / Facebook) | Lake Shelby’s blue water is absolutely beautiful. (Brett/Robinson)

After a long day at the beach, you’re bound to be hungry. You can fill up with heaping plates of delicious seafood at Fish River Grill. You can’t go wrong with the fried shrimp po’boy or seafood basket with shrimp, oysters and fish. Cue the tartar sauce—I want loads of it.

Once you’re done with your meal, this restaurant is only a stone’s throw away from Oyster Bay, Little Lagoon and Lake Shelby—all perfect for a unique view of Gulf Shores.

6. Flora-Bama Yacht Club

Flora-bama
How could you say no to dessert? (Flora-Bama / Facebook)

With surf and turf options, everyone will be able to find something to eat. Personally, I think there’s nothing better than eating fish tacos while I’m at the beach, so I’ll be trying out their grilled Mahi taco.

The best part about Flora-Bama Yacht Club? You get to dine right next to the water. Wind down as you chow down with incredible waterfront views and live music.

7. Sea N Suds

The perfect place to fill up during a day on the beach. (Sea N Suds / Facebook) | Catch a gorgeous view at this restaurant with your family. (Brett/Robinson)

Get shucking—this oyster bar has some of the best ones on the half-shell. Want to keep it going? My mouth is watering just thinking about Sea N Suds’ fried oyster sandwich with fresh gulf oysters fried to a perfect, golden brown served on a bun with homemade tartar sauce.

Looking for something for the kiddos to eat? There’s a variety of yummy options, including a burger, popcorn chicken, shrimp and a corn dog.

Luckily, this seafood shack is right on the beach. There’s nothing better than munching on delicious seafood while watching the waves crash on the shore.

8. The Gulf

The Gulf
Fried grouper sandwich + fries = the perfect meal. (The Gulf / Facebook)

Looking for a casual spot with amazing food? Dig into some of the best sandwiches and tacos in town—the grouper sandwich is a must. Go all out with the seafood boil with favorites like crab legs, shrimp, mussels, sweet corn, red potatoes and sausage.

You can keep your beach day going when you dine at The Gulf. There are picnic tables outside, so your family can have dinner while admiring the spectacular views of the water.

9. The Sloop

The Sloop
Eclectic, fun + oh so tasty. (The Sloop / Facebook)

Craving something different? The Sloop is to some of the tastiest cheesesteaks, hoagies and sandwiches—perfect for a filling lunch. I’m a sucker for a meatball sub, so I’ll be ordering the saucy meatball loaded up with meatballs, marinara, Italian seasoning and cheesy goodness. Plus, they’re serving up all of the fan-favs for your little ones, including burgers, grilled cheese and chicken fingers.

If you’re looking for a break from the beach, this spot is right near Portage Creek plus the Canal Park Boat Launch. You can cruise around the river on a boat with your family for a new perspective of Gulf Shores.
