Prosper and gener8tor first began their partnership last spring with the Prosper Healthtech Investment Accelerator, an accelerator focused on innovations in healthtech. Since then, the Prosper Healthtech Investment Accelerator has supported 10 companies across two cohorts. In fact, the program has encouraged two companies to relocate to Birmingham following the program.

Now, Prosper and gener8tor are teaming up again to introduce, gBETA, a new accelerator program, during the fall of 2022. This program is a seven-week, no-equity accelerator program offered to qualified startups at no cost. gBeta will provide startup founders with inventive coaching and access to its national network of mentors, customers, corporate partners and investors.

“We are thrilled to expand our partnership with gener8tor and work to build our pipeline of great diverse HealthTech startups that continue to make Birmingham one of the premiere places to be if you are an early stage health tech founder.”

gener8tor recruited startups nationally for the gBETA program in an effort to support homegrown companies while also attracting startups to relocate to Birmingham.

“Expanding our programming with Prosper to bring this program to life is very exciting. We’ve seen the incredible economic impact of the gBETA program in other industries and other parts of the country, and we’re excited to bring that same impact to Birmingham’s healthtech innovation ecosystem.”

Lauren Usher, Vice President, gener8tor gBETA

At the end of the gBETA program, startup founders will showcase their companies to investors, community partners and the public at a showcase event in conjunction with the Prosper Healthtech Investment Accelerator on November 15th at 6PM at Avenue D, an event venue located at 3008 4th Avenue South, Birmingham Al 35233.

Startup companies and founders interested in learning more about gBETA’s programming and resources or applying to a future program are encouraged to visit the gener8tor gBETA website.
