The air is starting to feel cooler, which means apples are finally back in season. In honor of the changing seasons, we’ve put together a guide of some of the tastiest apple dishes in Birmingham.

For an apple pastry that’s baked fresh, head over to Continental Bakery. Call ahead to see if their apple galettes are in stock. These little Frech flat cakes fill satisfy your fruit craving.

For those with a sweet tooth, try the apple pancake at The Orginal Pancake House. The oven-baked green apples paired with the cinnamon glaze makes for a wonderful autumn dish. It’s sweet and crispy in the best way.

For the main entree, order the grilled chicken sandwich that’s made with apple slices that add a sweet crunch.
