From the minds that brought you Brick and Tin, Key Circle Commons if officially headed to Mountain Brook. This timeless, upscale lounge will bring you right to the early 20th century with inspired decor, tasteful accents, a small plate menu and craft cocktails to note. This new spot will be housed in the former Billy’s location—a coveted space in the heart of English Village.

The vibe was inspired by owner Mauricio Papapietro’s love of the The Bowery Hotel in New York City, and he hoped to bring a piece of that back to Birmingham with contemporary concepts like upscale furniture, French marble countertops and a daybed straight from France itself. Papapietro said that the location has a lot of character, almost feeling like a chapel.

The menu will consist of small plates with production based at Brick and Tin, so you know they’ll have food like your favorites at Brick and Tin—including their signature bread. They’ll incorporate sweet items for those with a sweet tooth, as well. As for the drinks, they’ll have a straightforward, solid menu as well as coffee in the afternoons.

He hopes that patrons from Mountain Brook, Homewood and Birmingham can come together and support this new local, exciting business. Be on the lookout for this business opening in January 2022.
