#TeamTaziki’s newest recruits
Whether you’re cheering on the Crimson Tide or shouting War Eagle this weekend, we can all be happy for a new partnership with Birmingham-based Taziki’s and two local student-athletes.
Hailing from Gardendale, Carlee McCondichie is thriving in her sport and was described as a crucial softball player at Auburn University. During her freshman season, McCondichie earned a starting position at second base and held a .469 average at the plate, the fifth-highest in the SEC. Now a Junior, she continues to excel both in academics and athletics. Proof of excellence? Her spot on the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
“I’m grateful for this opportunity to partner with Taziki’s. I have grown up enjoying their healthy food.”-Carlee McCondichie, Auburn University
As a Homewood native, Hannah Barber ranks No. 26 in the nation and No. 2 in the SEC in assist to turnover ratio. Not only is she a star on the Basketball team, but in academics as well. She has been on the SEC Academic Honor Roll since her Freshman year.
“I am so excited to be a part of Team Taziki’s. There’s no better way to fuel for long days of training. They continue to set the standard in their communities by this commitment to women in sports.”-Hannah Barber, University of Alabama
Making an impact
Not only is Taziki’s an incredible place to grab a gyro, they’re one of the first fast-casual restaurants to team up with female student-athletes. Their delicious menu is popular for go-to healthy options. Plus, they have more than 100 fresh produce items and more than 60 herbs and spices flavoring the foods—yum. We’re excited to see Taziki’s partner with local athletes that promote an admirable message to their audience.
“College sports and community relationships are something of great importance to Taziki’s and our customers. These athletes enjoy our delicious food, specifically Taziki’s salads with proteins to fuel her athletic endeavors, which makes her the perfect fit with our brand. It is important to Taziki’s to recognize the importance of female athletes and the positive messages they send about living a healthy lifestyle.”-Julie Wade, Taziki’s, Senior Director of Marketing
