There are tons of ways to cool off this summer, but a cocktail is at the top of our list. Campesino Mojitos will impress your friends and 90-degree temps don’t stand a chance against this batch. Start your summer right with the DIY cocktail and find out which Birmingham bars to stop by later to keep the adventure going.

Mix things up with a batch of Campesino Mojitos

The Campesino Mojito batch makes 17 drinks, so invite 16 more people over—or, only two if you want to have a really good time. It’s perfect for lake hangs, camping trips and staying chill in the Alabama heatwave.

 Ingredients:

Directions:

  • Heat sugar, water and mint. Simmer for 3-5 minutes the let cool and strain mint.
  • Mix until sugar is dissolved
  • Blend with 1 cup mint leaves
  • Pour into a Collins glass over fresh ice and top with soda and a mint sprig

Find your bottle of Campesino Rum in Birmingham (you don’t have to look very far) and just add ice—this drink is made for good times.
