Do you want to go out, but are stuck with dog duty? Read more to find 16 spots with pet-friendly, outdoor dining in Birmingham. Cat lovers, don’t feel left out. You can go pet—and adopt!—local kitties in need of furever homes at cat café Gatos and Beans.

1. The Filling Station

Not only is The Filling Station dog-friendly, but it has a special on Thursdays called Paws on the Patio where bringing your pup gets you a free appetizer.

2. Black Market Bar and Grill

Black Market Bar and Grill has an Instagram dedicated solely to the dogs that stop by their outdoor dining in Birmingham.

3. FoodBar

FoodBar is happy to host your dog. With delicious gourmet food and signature cocktails, you won’t be disappointed with this dog-friendly restaurant.

Avondale Brewing is all about the pups. They even sell Avondale travel bowls, leashes and collars.

Moe’s BBQ has great food, live music and a large outdoor dining area to relax. Your dog will love it.

7. Rojo

While pets are not allowed on the patio, Rojo’s outdoor seating is spacious enough for dogs to visit. Plus, there is a great park right across the street so you can grab your food to-go and gather with friends for a picnic.

If you’re looking for a boujee, dog-friendly porch, then look no further than The Essential. Open for brunch, lunch and dinner, enjoy a Parisian café feel with your pooch. The Essential recently announced its plan to switch locations with Bar La Fête, so enjoy the charming patio area while you can!

9. Ghost Train Brewing Co.

Calling all lager lovers! Ghost Train Brewing Co. is super dog-friendly, not only on its spacious patios, but inside, too. BONUS: There’s Bingo at the brewery on Wednesdays!

Last time I was at Hop City Beer and Wine, I saw at least six dogs, all friendly with wagging tails and tongues.
