Cortland Vesta’s Rooftop Lounge Offers the Best View in Birmingham

In a city as beautiful as Birmingham, it’s hard to go wrong with a rooftop lounge. With an unbeatable view of The Magic City and Vulcan himself, the roof at Cortland Vesta is—by far—my favorite view in the city.

But the endless view isn’t the only perk on Cortland Vesta’s rooftop. Atop the roof, residents can relax in the indoor lounge or outdoor spaces, enjoy the rooftop bar and even make use of the outdoor kitchen. Oh, and did I mention there is a heated saltwater pool?

If you’d prefer to get out and about to score your steps, you’re in luck. Cortland Vesta is just a hop, skip and a jump away from one of my favorite trails in Birmingham—Vulcan Trail. Located just below the iron man himself, is a cute one-mile trail along Red Mountain that extends from Vulcan, under The Club and more. 

Pro-Tip: visit Vulcan Trail at sunrise or sunset to see The Magic City at golden hour—and be sure to take some photos!
