Every in-person event looks different in 2020, but some institutions are using that as a way to get creative with how they host. Birmingham-Southern College has a fresh new way to connect current students with the outside world. Check it out!

Sample Southern is a chance to (virtually) meet current Birmingham-Southern students from different areas and learn about all aspects of their experience. This new take on recruitment events allows potential students to get candid insight into student life.

You can pick a metro area near you and connect with students from your state, including New York, Delaware, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland and more.

If you’re an Alabama or Birmingham native, you can pick the Birmingham session and connect with students who have been in the exact same boat as you. Here are the details on that session:

Sample ‘Southern is a one-hour, virtual info session that’s open to any and all prospective students.

According to BSC’s Vice President for Enrollment Management, Trent Gilbert, the Sample ‘Southern events will have three main focuses: Birmingham, Southern and College.

  • Birmingham: The city that BSC students call home and the impact it has on the student experience.
  • Southern: What it’s like to be a student at BSC, including student activities, athletics, residence life, etc.
  • College: The academic experience that BSC is known for.
