Celebrate Hispanic culture and heritage during Fiesta BHAM’s 18th annual event 30 Days of Fiesta presented by Coca Cola Bottling United Birmingham, happening now through October 15. All about Fiesta
Fiesta BHAM is nonprofit organization and annual festival in Birmingham that seeks to educate the public about the many different Hispanic countries and cultures represented in Alabama through art, music, dance and food.
Part of Fiesta BHAM’s goal is to also provide Hispanic students in Alabama with scholarships to help them further their education.
In light of COVID-19, Fiesta BHAM donned their creative sombreros and came up with an all-new way to enjoy this year’s event. Instead of the usual one-day event, you can take part in the festivities virtually for an entire month during 30 Days of Fiesta.
“Although a live gathering is not possible, this does not mean we have to stop being human, or Latin. In fact, in these difficult times, we have to be more united than ever. We have to celebrate, because it is something that unites us as a community.”

Now through October 15, Fiesta BHAM will provide daily educational and entertainment opportunities that are both meaningful and impactful. Here are some of the virtual activities you can take part in:

- Family arts + craft projects featuring hispanic artists

Fiesta at Home with the Fiesta Box
Online events are just part of the excitement offered during 30 Days of Fiesta. Introducing Fiesta in a Box. This celebration package, created by local Latin artist Cristina Almanza, was designed special for this year’s event with the goal to allow families the chance to fiesta at home.
Inside each 10×14 box, you’ll find a variety of festive goodies along with important information and resources so you can learn all about Hispanic heritage.
Not only does your purchase of the Fiesta Box provide you with great resources and more, but it’s also a wonderful way to show your support for Fiesta BHAM. All proceeds from box sales directly benefit the Fiesta Scholarship Fund, which helps Hispanic and Latino students in Alabama succeed through higher education.
