For a decade, Birmingham-area restaurants have generously donated a portion of their proceeds from Dining Out for Life to AIDS Alabama. Mark your calendar now: Dining Out for Life is all day September 24
Everybody knows the hospitality industry has been hurt by COVID. Restaurants and bars are doing their darnedest to serve their people while keeping everybody safe—and at partial capacity. No easy feat.
Along the way, various local restaurants have had to close due to staff exposure or infections. In fact, two of AIDS Alabama’s partner restaurants have had to close indefinitely.
“For this, our 11th year to host Dining Out for Life, we decided to re-make this event as a show of appreciation to our partnering restaurants. We want to encourage as many people as we can to go eat at our partner restaurants all day on the 24th. We won’t be asking partner restaurants for any donations but will rely on peer-to-peer fundraising.”
Caroline Bundy, Development Director, AIDS Alabama
