In the words of Parks and Rec’s Leslie Knope, “Why would anybody eat anything other than breakfast food?” If you’re a fellow fan of breakfast-food, you’ll definitely want to stop into Homewood’s newest restaurant, Maple Street Biscuit Company.

Homewood’s New Breakfast Joint

Here in the South, we need our breakfast biscuits—and we need them now. Fresh, flaky and made from scratch every day, Maple Street Biscuit Co.’s biscuits are just the way grandma used to make them.

Whether you like your biscuits plain, slathered in gravy or complemented with a slice of fried chicken, Maple Street Biscuit Co. has a dish for everyone. Plus, the biscuits have super quirky names, such as:

  • The Squawking Goat
  • The Firebird
  • The Sticky Maple

The first Maple Street Biscuit Co. opened in Jacksonville, Florida in 2012, and has since become a community favorite. Now, they’ve chosen to bring their dishes to the foodies here in Birmingham, and we are so here for it.

More than Biscuits

I could do with a heaping bowl of grits right now. Photo via Maple Street Biscuit Co.

Biscuits aren’t all that’s on the menu, though. Maple Street Biscuit Co. also offers:

  • Breakfast bowls
  • Eggs, bacon and hash browns
  • Waffles
  • Salads
  • And much, much more!

I, for one, can’t wait to pop into Maple Street Biscuit Co. one day and eat breakfast food until I can’t see straight.
