Be the office hero without waiting in line. Krispy Kreme now offers online ordering and delivery in Birmingham!

Krispy Kreme has launched a new delivery service. Gone are the days of waiting in long lines for freshly made warm doughnuts first thing in the morning! I had to try it out. Here’s what I found out.

The Bham Now team is fueled on sweet treats and it was my turn to be office hero.

We get into work early and I just didn’t want to wait in line for doughnuts on the daycare run.

Having heard about the new Krispy Kreme delivery service, I planned ahead and scheduled a next-day early morning home delivery for 7.15AM on their website (which was delivered by their partner, DoorDash).

It was simple, and the delivery driver let me know where they were and when they’d be arriving which allowed me to tend to our little one without any fuss.

Usually the Bham Now team have a glazed look in their eyes when I use British terms, such as ‘hundreds & thousands’ instead of sprinkles, but on this occasion it was the glazed doughnuts we were discussing!

What can you order online from Krispy Kreme?

Forget the diet. Krispy Kreme currently offers deliveries of doughnuts by the dozen, coffee brew boxes and the full drinks menu. But who orders less than a dozen, right?!  You can order any doughnuts from original glazed to build your own box. I selected the build your own box. For those that can’t decide, you can do a build your own box and select randomize it.

Which Krispy Kreme shops can you order from and where do they deliver?

Krispy Kreme’s new online ordering delivery service hasn’t quite reached everywhere just yet – in fact Bham Now had more than one potential hero who couldn’t order as they were outside the delivery zone.

There are only 12 locations in Alabama who have been selected to initially roll out the service.

 The 3 participating stores in the Birmingham area are:

• Birmingham – 1st Avenue North  (8601 1st Ave N, Birmingham, AL 35206)

• Hoover – Hwy 280 (5357 US-280, Birmingham, AL 35242)

• Hoover – New Patton Chapel Road  (1990 New Patton Chapel Rd, Hoover, AL 35226)

At the moment the delivery range varies by location, but the Krispy Kreme website says it’s typically within 5 miles from each store. Find out for sure here.

Donut worry though (get it?) they plan on offering nationwide delivery by the end of 2019. They even joke ‘one day, we would love to deliver to the moon via unicorn’!
