Buc-ee’s convenience store to break ground in Leeds on June 26

There’s been a lot of talk over the past year about whether Buc-cee’s will come to Leeds. Now, we finally have the answer—and it is a big ‘ole yes! 

Lemme see your happy dance.

On Monday, June 17, the Leeds City Council officially signed off on the proposal to allow Buc-cee’s to be built. 

When and Where

According to Leeds Mayor David Miller, Buccees will break ground on Wednesday, June 26. It will be located off Exit 140 on 1-20 near the Outlet Shops at Grand River. This area just keeps growing, and it is fabulous!

Buc-ee’s is a convenience store based out of Texas. Its only other Alabama location is in Mobile, which makes having one so close to Birmingham quite exciting.

So what exactly are Beaver Nuggets? Probably not what you are thinking. Phew! It is actually one of Buc-ee’s most popular products—caramel and butter-glazed corn puffs. Yee-haw!
