Make your sweet mom feel loved with a delicious brunch at Arlington Antebellum Home and Gardens. Located on six acres of gorgeously landscaped gardens, this historic spot serves as a decorative arts museum and features a collection of 19th century furniture, textiles, silver and paintings. 

Reservations are also available for a Mother’s Day dinner on Friday, May 10 at 6PM. $50 per person. Wine and h’oeuvres will be served at 5:30PM.

Oscar’s

Treat mom to a day of food and culture with a mother’s day brunch at Oscar’s—the cafe at the Birmingham Museum of Arts. Here you’ll be served a delicious seasonal menu with fresh, local ingredients. Menu items range from soups and salads to sandwiches and desserts.

Metro Diner

Pamper mom with a no-cook, clean free Mother’s Day at Metro Diner. Along with their usual menu, Metro Diner will be offering classic brunch items with a twist. I’m a true sucker for a menu twist!

Here’s a look at what they’ll be serving:

• Fried Chicken and Waffles: Topped with house-made strawberry butter and signature sweet and spicy sauce.
• Breakfast Pie: Layers of eggs, cheese, mushrooms, onions, peppers and red skin potatoes served with a side.
• Avocado Toast: Freshly chopped avocado and sliced tomato served on eight-grain toast.

You may want to save room for dessert because on the menu is Cinnamon Roll Pancakes. These babies are swirled in cinnamon and sugar and topped with cream cheese icing, candied pecans and cinnamon butter. Oo baby!

Blood Mary’s and Mimosas will also be available all day for $2.99 a drink.

Mother’s Day at Perry’s Steakhouse

On May 12, Perry’s Steakhouse will open early to serve moms an all-day dinner menu and more.

There will also be a special off-the-menu feature item—Shrimp & Gruyere Cheese Grits ($32.95). Made with Anson Mills stone ground cheesy grits, this delicious item features jumbo shrimp, andouille sausage, mushroom pan gravy and is topped with crimini mushrooms and herbs. Mmm!

From 11AM-4PM, Perrys will also be serving brunch-inspired specialty cocktails, including:

• Bloody Mary’s ($6.95)
• Mimosas ($6.95)
• Brandy Milk Punch ($6.95)

Mother’s Day Brunch Tour

Why dine at just one great Birmingham restaurant when you could sample food from five? This mother’s day, hop aboard a party bus and take mom on a four-hour food tour.

During the tour, you’ll have the chance to eat, drink and ride while tasting delicious sample plates from some of the best eateries in the Birmingham metro area. Just try not to choke on your food because Comedienne Joy will be there marking you laugh throughout the tour.
