  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon

  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • In separate bowl, mix melted butter and sugars together until smooth.

  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the tops are firm and spring back slightly when you touch them. Don't over bake or donuts will turn out dry.
  • When done, remove donuts from oven and let cool in pan(s) for 5 minutes. Then carefully remove and place on wire rack to cool.
  • While the donuts cool, prepare the topping mixture. In a small bowl, melt butter in the microwave (don't burn!). Set aside.
  • 10. In a separate bowl, mix cinnamon and sugar together. Set aside.
  • 11. Once donuts are cool enough to be handled, dip the tops only into the melted butter, then quickly into the cinnamon sugar mixture. (Don't add extra of topping mixture, otherwise they will be too strong and you will have a flavor-overboard situation on your hands!)
