NEDA Walk
Stat: According to the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA), 30 million AMericans struggle with an eating disorder at some point in their lives.
Become a NEDA Warrior and join the NEDA Walk to raise awareness and virtual funds to support the fight against eating disorders.

Monkey C Monkey Run 5K
Join the fight to stop childhood cancer by taking part in Smile-A-Mile’s annual 5K and 1M Fun Run the Monkey C Monkey Run.
Post-run events include:
- A dove release honoring SAM children.
- 5K individual and team awards
- Fun run prizes (14 years and under)
- Music from The Toddfather
- Food and Activities

BTC Saturday Run Social – Hollywood Bridge Fundraiser
Have you heard about the new Hollywood Blvd. Bridge that is in the works?
You can help make the building of the bridge a reality by joining the Birmingham Track Club (BTC) for their Saturday Social Run Hollywood Bridge Fundraiser.
After the run, enjoy:

Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Heart of Alabama
Help further the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association and Heart of Alabama by raising funds and awareness for their Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
Every registered participant who raises at least $100 receives a T-shirt.
On the day of the walk, every registered walker will also receive a colored wristband and a promise garden flower. The colored wristband you choose will represent your connection to Alzheimer’s.
Which color best represents you?
Blue: Someone with Alzheimer’s or dementia
Purple: Someone who has lost a loved one to the disease
Yellow: Someone who is currently supporting or caring for someone with Alzheimer’s
Orange: Everyone who supports the cause and vision of a world without Alzheimer’s.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Lifeline Children’s Services (un)adopted Ministry.

Sistah Strut
Brenda’s Brown Bosom Buddies are hosting their annual Sistah Strut in an effort to bring breast cancer awareness, early detection and healthy living to the Birmingham community.
Run, stroll, walk, strut, sit or chat—all are welcome at this event!

Head Over Teal 5K and 10K
September marks GYN Cancer Awareness month and it’s time for the 9th annual Head Over Teal Race Day and Fall Festival.
Proceeds from the race benefit the Laura Crandell Brown Foundation.
After the race, head to the Fall Festival (free to all—participants and nonparticipants of the race!) for family-friendly activities, including:
- Food
- Live Music
- Crazy photo booth
- Children’s Activities (inflatables, art activities, crazy hair, crazy hair, shimmer art and more!)
This event is also pet friendly.
