Eight year old Clarke Snyder loves baseball. He has been playing the game since he was two, and for as long as he can remember his dad, mom, grandmother and little sister have been going to Birmingham Barons baseball games.

Baseball is a big part of Snyder family life. Clarke’s parents Adam and Erin both played the game when they were growing up. Before they had kids, they got involved coaching and working with the youth league at Avondale Park. Today, they continue to coach the game, watch their children play baseball and whenever they get the chance take the entire family to Regions Field to cheer on their beloved Barons.

It’s the family atmosphere that makes Birmingham Barons game so special. It’s why their Family Pack on Saturday nights is considered one of the best values in the Magic City.

Wearing his oversized well-worn glove that looks like he never takes it off during a Barons game for the off chance that a foul ball might come his way, Clarke had this to say about his family outings with the Barons.

“I love coming to Birmingham Barons baseball games because they are always fun to watch. I like watching the game. Sometimes I come out here with my friends, and I play on that mini-baseball field over there (pointing toward the outfield). My favorite player on the Barons is Fisher (Jameson Fisher). In the major league it is Baltimore Orioles Manny Machado. He hit a grand slam with 6 RBI’s today!”

Every night is a memorable one

“It is a great family night out, watch a game, eat dinner, play on the playground, mini-baseball field or just run around in the grass. There is something for everybody, the entire family, and we get good and worn out before we get home,” said Erin.

“Especially getting worn out before we get home,” added Adam with a smile.
