Jack Brown’s Beer and Burger Joint has a pretty extensive menu, but their burger-loving staff will help you find your fave dish.

Hattie B’s Hot Chicken

Alllll the way from Nashville, TN, Birmingham has got the third Hattie B’s Hot Chicken. Here, the hotter you order, the better. Heat Levels start at a mild Southern and go all the way to “Shut the Cluck Up!!!” which comes with a burn notice. Stop by and get it while it’s hot.

Depending on what you want to get down to, you can probably find it all at Tin Roof.

Al’s on Seventh

If you are really trying to get down, Al’s on Seventh should be on your list. Every Friday and Saturday, this gay bar hosts dancing queens themselves with some stellar drag shows that are a must-see. Of course, their fantastic DJ and perfect dance floor are all yours after the weekend shows.

Honestly, Sidebar has got it all. Pool tables, volleyball court, two huge bars, a wraparound outdoor patio and a huge dance floor with an accompanying stage. This place is all it’s chalked up to be. It gets pretty bouncy on the weekends with plenty of Bham folks lined up to get in and have a good time.

Innisfree Irish Pub

If you haven’t experienced this diamond in the rough, then you can’t say you have properly explored Lakeview. This watering hole turned club is truly its own spot. Don’t be fooled by the name, this Irish Pub offers an array of modern music, fun DJs, great drink specials and plenty of people who just love it there.

Nana Funks

Like I said, Lakeview might be the neighborhood that never sleeps, partly because of this establishment. If it’s after two and you’ve still got more grooving to do, Nana Funks will surely be calling your name. Lively is an understatement with this place, but you just need to see it to believe it.
