Meet some of Birmingham’s New Year Babies

Who could imagine a greater gift to the new year than a bundle of baby joy? Quite a few Birmingham families got the perfect gift earlier this day.

Two precious infants are currently tied for Birmingham’s first baby of 2016. Both baby girls were born at 12:37 am on New Year’s Day.

Alden Amelia Massey was the first baby born at Brookwood Medical Center for the 2017 year. Weighing 7lbs, 8oz and 20.5 inches long, parents, Ross and Kerri Massey were ecstatic for her arrival.

Aleah and Anniston are among the first that were born at the UAB Hospital. The twin girls are doing very well, despite coming prematurely into the new year.

Bennett Zinder was the first newborn born at Brookwood Baptist Health. He weighed 6lbs and 2oz and was 19 inches long. His parents are Tyler and Kelley Zinder.
