Hand in Paw
This morning, Bham Now Director Pat Byington interviewed via Facebook Live Beth Franklin, the founder of Hand in Paw.

Hand in Paw is the designated charity for December’s Bham Now’s BOLD Speaker Series presenter, polar explorer and UAB researcher Jim McClintock (Purchase tickets for the Dec. 6th event  – here).

Checkout this inspirational video that includes Beth describing how she started organization two decades ago, from funds raised by selling her home. Today, Hand in Paw serves nearly 100,000 people throughout the region and has been recognized nationally and internationally for its innovative programs.

As an added bonus, meet at the end of the video, two dogs, Toby and Fred, becoming therapy dogs.

  • We apologize the video starts sideways. It is corrected within the first minute.
