1. O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center Fiesta Ball
- What: At this fun-filled evening, you’ll enjoy live music, unlimited beer and wine, Fiesta-inspired food and more while supporting the Mary Ann Harvard and Jacob Baker Nextgen Awards. These awards are for young cancer researchers launching their careers.

2. Mother’s Day at Cahaba Dermatology
- What: This very special Mother’s Day event is one you don’t want to miss. You can get same-day injectables with Dr. Vlada Groysman, free CoolSculpting consults, Diamond Glow facials, laser consults and much more.

3. Birmingham Folk Fest
- What: Enjoy a day of exciting live music at Avondale Amphitheater. There will be a Children’s Pavilion with face painting, dancing and music showcases along with vendor tents from local artists.

4. Art in the Lot
- What: Join this event where you can sell, shop and visit local artists. They will also be collecting toiletries and cleaning supplies for families as part of the Trinity United Methodist Church Outreach Hub.

- Where: Trinity United Methodist Church – Oxmoor Campus

5. Birmingham Taco Fest 2023
- What: Birmingham Taco Fest returns this year with taco vendors and food trucks, locally crafted beverages, music, children’s activities and local art. Attendees can even vote for the Best Taco.

6. Darter Fest
- What: The 10th annual Darter Festival at Avondale Brewery celebrates the conservation of the darters that reside in the Turkey Creek Nature Preserve. The organizer, the Southern Environmental Center, has teamed up with NewTerra Compost and World Centric, in making this event completely waste-free for the first time ever.
