DESCRIPTION: \nDelve into how theatre shaped Birmingham from its earliest days as a rough industrial town to its transformation into a cultural hub. In the early 20th century\, Birmingham’s leaders recognized that the arts were essential for establishing the city as a destination and for softening its industrial image. The formation of theatres large and small played a pivotal role in shaping Birmingham’s identity. Today\, Birmingham’s vibrant arts scene stands as a testament to this rich legacy.\nFeaturing artifacts\, photos\, and stories from our collection as well as material from the collections of Red Mountain Theatre\, Birmingham Children’s Theatre\, UAB Archives\, and more\, this exhibit will reflect how the creativity and vision of the past continue to inspire the thriving arts and cultural scene we enjoy today.\n*The exhibit is open through January 11\, 2026.  \nADMISSION\nTickets are available online and can be purchased at the Ticket Booth located at the park entrance.
