He often performs solo but is sometimes joined by his band\, Magnolia Devil\, adding even greater depth to his live shows. His catalog is available on all major streaming platforms\, but it’s on stage where his music fully comes alive — raw\, dynamic\, and steeped in the spirit of Southern music. \n* * * * * \nWHAT IS THE STORY SEVEN? \nHave you always wanted to tell a story onstage? SUMMARY:Sunday Story Seven - with storyteller VINCE FABRA and special musical guest WILL STEWART
DESCRIPTION:$5 Advance tickets available until 5pm on April 13\n$10 (online after 5pm on April 13) \nDoor tickets available subject to availability \n* * * * * \nAct I – Open Mic storytelling. Put your name in the hat for a chance to share a personal\, true story onstage. \nAct II – Our featured storyteller is comedian and public speaker Vince Fabra \nAct III – Stories and Songs with Will Stewart \nWay Gone\, the stirring new mini-album from Birmingham AL singer-songwriter-guitarist\, Will Stewart\, doesn’t waste any time: In just 23 minutes\, Stewart’s follow-up to 2018’s critically-acclaimed County Seat rips through six keenly-detailed portraits of restless\, desperate souls with white line ferocity – as if he’s on a mission to chronicle the tales of these disparate nighthawks before the sun comes up. Despite the rush\, Way Gone somehow stops to smell the roses via revealing lyrics and softer tunes that belie deep\, opposing tensions. This is most evident on Way Gone’s opening track – and first single – “Southern Raphael”: A late-night tale of dive bar flirtation propelled by taut rhythms and skittery guitars. The atmosphere is gradually thickened by subtle synths that rise and converge with the guitars until they burst into crescendo – detonated by a lyrical twist that’s either deeply romantic or utterly terrifying. Possibly both. It’s like Cormac McCarthy writing lyrics for The Feelies – which makes it both an outlier and a perfect way to kick off this gripping\, novella-like collection of songs. MORE ABOUT WILL HERE \n* * * * * \nWHAT IS THE STORY SEVEN? \nHave you always wanted to tell a story onstage? Or do you prefer to listen while others share? Either way\, join us at the monthly storytelling variety show the Sunday Story Seven. The open mic is open to new and seasoned storytellers – just put your name in the hat for a chance to tell a 5-minute true tale. No notes\, no theme – just you and the mic! Never tried a storytelling open mic before? Love hearing true\, personal stories? Love live music? Come see what it’s all about. \n* If you would like to put your name in the hat to participate in the open mic\, reserve your free ticket using the code “STORYTELLER”. There is no guarantee that your name will be called\, but if you choose to use this free promo code\, please come ready with a five-minute true story to share\, without notes. This is not a comedy routine\, and it must be a real story that happened to you. If the show is not sold out\, you may also put your name in the hat when you arrive\, but the only free tickets for storytellers are via advance reservations.

As a solo singer-songwriter\, he’s opened for alt-rock vets Deer Tick and The Handsome Family. SUMMARY:Sunday Story Seven - Storytelling Open Mic with MATT DAVIS and special musical guest JANET SIMPSON
DESCRIPTION:Storytelling Variety Show + Open Mic\nFeatured Storyteller Matt Davis\nStories & Songs with special guest Janet Simpson\nhosted by Becca Rothman \nAct I – Open Mic storytelling. Put your name in the hat for a chance to share a personal\, true story onstage. \nAct II – Our featured storyteller (and critically-acclaimed\, world-renowned comedian) Matt Davis will share a ten-minute prepared story. \nAct III – Stories and Songs with Janet Simpson \nJanet Simpson is a force of intuition. The Birmingham legend has shared her presence as a deep\, patient listener and her fierce power as a singer\, guitarist\, and keyboardist to bands like Wooden Wand (World War IV)\, Delicate Cutters\, Teen Getaway\, and Timber. But on Can I See You Tonight (out soon via Cornelius Chapel Records)\, Simpson’s unmatched prescience is channeled toward her own visions\, expansive yet spellbindingly intimate. The follow-up to her stunning solo debut Safe Distance (2021)\, it’s a wryly observant alt-country tapestry with frayed edges that gesture toward Simpson’s history in DIY and punk scenes. Her talent as a bandleader shines even brighter on this second album as she taps freely into that restless collaborative spirit\, weaving worn-in\, effortless folk rock arrangements with her band. The songs on Can I See You Tonight are haunting stills in time\, shot through with longing – the lyrics haiku-precise\, the band dialed in to one another\, and to Simpson\, her deep well of a voice brimming over. \n* * * * * \nMore details:\nHave you always wanted to tell a story onstage? Or do you prefer to listen while others share? Either way\, join us at the monthly storytelling variety show the Sunday Story Seven.
