DESCRIPTION:Opera Birmingham invites audiences to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year with Sounds of the Season\, a heartwarming holiday concert on Sunday\, December 14\, 2025\, at 2:30 PM in Brock Hall at Samford University. \nA cherished Birmingham tradition\, Sounds of the Season combines the power of opera with the joy of the holidays\, featuring an uplifting program of beloved carols\, festive favorites\, and timeless classics. This year’s concert will showcase the rich voices of Kevin Thompson\, bass; Opera Birmingham’s Freeman Studio Artists; the Opera Birmingham Chorus and Children’s Chorus; and the Birmingham Girls Choir. \nFrom stirring renditions of What Child is This? and Away in a Manger\, to jubilant choral works that capture the magic and spirit of the season\, this afternoon of music promises to inspire and delight audiences of all ages. \nTickets for Sounds of the Season are available now at operabirmingham.org or by calling (205) 322-6737. Tickets start at $35 for adults\, and $15 for children and students.
