DESCRIPTION:As a proud United Way of Central Alabama partner agency\, Collat Jewish Family Services (CJFS) will host Hands Up Together 2025 this month honoring ten years of CARES: Caring for Adults through Respite\, Enrichment\, and Socialization. The CARES program offers an engaging social environment for people living with memory and movement disorders\, such as Alzheimer’s and dementia\, while offering a much-needed break\, support and education for their family caregivers. \nHands Up Together is presented by Protective Life and will take place on Tuesday\, April 29\, 2025\, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at The Grand Bohemian Hotel in Mountain Brook. The event will celebrate and support the CJFS services that are a critical resource for older adults and their families as they navigate the journey of aging. \nSince its launch in 2015\, CJFS CARES has served families by providing structured\, meaningful group activities in a warm\, supportive environment. Designed to enhance quality of life and reduce isolation for participants\, CARES has created a community filled with support\, connection\, and purpose. All while allowing caregivers time for self-care\, work\, or rest.
