DESCRIPTION:The Classic Fun Run Presented By the American Diabetes Association® (ADA)\nJoin us for the inaugural Classic Fun Run\, presented by the American Diabetes Association® (ADA)\, in association with Amazon Magic City Classic! \nThis two-mile walk/run welcomes all ages and activity levels. Whether you’re a runner\, walker\, or cheering from the sidelines\, your participation helps raise awareness about diabetes and obesity. \nObesity accounts for up to 53% of new type 2 diabetes cases each year. That’s why the Obesity Association™\, a division of the ADA\, is dedicated to reducing the prevalence of obesity and improving health outcomes. This event helps remind us that even small steps—like raising awareness together—can drive meaningful change. \nParticipants will receive:\n* Event t-shirt (sizes not guaranteed). Sizes: Small – XXX-Large\n* Bib number to show they are a registered participant\n* Swag Bag \nTeam Registration:\nParticipants will be eligible for the $5 discount per person when team membership reaches 5 or more members. Team members 1 – 4 will be refunded $5 after the 5th team member registers. [More about Teams] \nPre-Race\, Race Day Packet Pickup and In-Person Registration:* (Individual & Team)\nPlease see our FAQ page for details [Click Here] \n*Note: On-site registration will be cashless (Credit Card only)\, please plan to register before arriving to speed up the packet pickup process. \nRace Day Agenda: November 1st\n6:30am – Registration Opens\n7:45am – 2 Mile Walk / Run Registration Closes\n8:00am – 2 Mile Walk / Run Starts\n8:30am – Finisher Festivities \nThere will be a fun area for the kids\, and following the event\, we encourage everyone to join our Community Wellness Event with local vendors. – Details coming soon. \nCourse Route:\nThe Course Route will follow the “Red” City Walk path starting at 15th St. North and 9th Ave. North and proceed to the Dog Park area at 24th St. North\, taking the same route back to the starting location for an approximate distance of 2 miles. \nBandit Policy:\nBandits are unregistered runners or walkers attempting to participate in the run or walk event. Running without registration is not permitted in the 2 Mile Walk/Run. Please be sure to register for The Classic Fun Run Presented By the American Diabetes Association 2 Mile Walk/Run so that you can enjoy all that the race has to offer. Everyone in the 2 Mile Walk/Run will need to wear their Bib Number\, which shows you are a registered participant. All proceeds of the event go to the American Diabetes Association. \nPets at the Event:\nPets are welcome to participate. All pets must be on a leash. Please clean up after your pet. The actions of the pet are the responsibility of the pet owner/caretaker. \nStrollers at the Event:\nIf you are participating with a stroller and/or children\, we ask that you keep your children with you at all times and that you start from the back of the starting line. This will allow your family members and our other participants a safer experience. \nCancellation Statement:\nYour entry fee is non-refundable. The event will occur rain or shine\, warm or cold. We reserve the right to cancel in extreme circumstances. In that event\, there will be no refunds; rather\, your entry fee will be used as a donation to The American Diabetes Association® (ADA). Changes or transfers must be completed before October 27\, 2025. \nRace Benefits\nProceeds from the race will benefit the American Diabetes Association® (ADA). For 85 years\, the ADA’s mission has been to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. This chronic disease is one of the fastest-growing in the world\, with 136 million Americans living with diabetes or prediabetes and a new diagnosis occurring every 26 seconds.
