Drop-In Drawing

Spend time sketching in gallery during this guided drawing class. You provide the creativity. We’ll provide the supplies.

Explore what’s on view at the Museum and sketch a selected work of art with teaching artist Jamison Harper. Learn about the artistic drawing process and how to begin a composition. You provide the creativity. We’ll provide the supplies. Open to adults and high school students who are accompanied by an adult.

Free. No registration necessary.

Kids: Art 101

Immerse your child in the world of art while developing their skills and creativity. Each month features a new topic.

Immerse your child in a fun, creative process that introduces them to the world of art. Students will explore a range of art-making techniques, including drawing, painting, ceramics, and printmaking that are inspired by what is on display at the museum. Sign up for multiple classes as we will be creating new projects each month.

We will do four main mixed media art processes including printmaking and collage, embossed metal encaustics, bas relief panel, and a textile project. The four pieces are individual works of art but may be hung together to create one elaborate artwork.

$50 for 5 classes, all materials provided

Clay Days: Master Class

Make your own Memory Jug with New York-based ceramicist Joan Bankemper.

Take part in a master class led by New York-based ceramicist Joan Bankemper. Learn about her process of transforming traditional tableware and found ceramic pieces into whimsical vessels. Make your own Memory Jug with provided supplies or bring your own items to add.

The Master Class is free, but registration is limited.
